We’re in the midst of a year-long family adventure to explore parts of the world around us. Along the way, we hope to experience different cultures, grow in our faith, share special family moments that become lifelong treasured memories, and cultivate friendships— with people we’ve known for ages and those we meet along the journey.

Our original plan was to live in Valencia, Spain for the full year and use it as a home base from which to travel around Europe.

…BUT…

Due to a series of challenges associated with getting our visas (a very long and frustrating process), we’re doing “Plan B.”

Though there’s been disappointment from our initial dreams not coming to pass, we know that God is working in all the details, so we are trusting Him that “Plan B” is better.

Though we may never know all the reasons for our visa plans being thwarted, one huge benefit we already see is that this plan will allow us to visit friends in other parts of the world. Because of visa rules that only permit us staying in Spain (or anywhere in the Schengen Area) for 90 days out of 180, we’ll also be heading to South America and Africa.

We can’t wait!

We’re so grateful for this opportunity and are thrilled to be able to share pieces of it with you in the form of our “postcards” and “perspectives.”
